Bouquet of Bacon Roses for Valentine’s Day

Posted on: January 10, 2023

Looking for a special way to show appreciation to your man this Valentine’s Day? Don’t buy a bouquet of flowers. Make them a bouquet of bacon roses! He’ll love you for it. As a huge bonus, he’ll get to gobble them up and we all know how much guys rave over bacon.

How It’s Done

  1. The easiest way to make these is in a muffin pan. Simply roll up your slabs of bacon and cook them in your kitchen oven at 375°F for 30 to 40 minutes. Some people like to drill a small hole in the center of the bottoms of the muffin tins to allow the bacon grease to drain out. That may be more trouble than it’s worth – your call. Another tip is to slightly squish the bacon bud down to cause the bottoms to flare out a little, giving them a more realistic appearance when they’re done cooking.
  2. While you’re waiting for your bacon buds to cook, take either a real or fake bouquet of roses and pluck off the tops. If using a real bouquet, set aside the petals for decoration.
  3. Fill your vase with whatever filler you have on hand (gravel or marbles) and situate the stems just how you want them.
  4. The last step is sliding on the bacon buds. Look them over beforehand to determine which ones will make the best presentation for your hungry man. Situate the best looking ones around the edges for best results.
